Quick and Crispy Potato Wedges???

This week I chose to complete the microwaveable potato wedges. Trust me I was hesitant about this one too but who doesn't love fries??? This recipe is a quick and easy one and I already had the ingredients at home. I believe some of the challenges that college students face while trying to maintain healthy and affordable diets are not having enough space to store fresh food, having limited money supply to get the best products, having limited time and access to quality ingredients while owning few standard kitchen

appliances. Cooking in a dorm is difficult because its hard to prepare fresh, healthy food if they only have a microwave and small fridge. As mentioned before it is hard to get large bulks to food if there is no room for it. Most college students get ambient (shelf life) food because not all of them have access to keep their chilled and frozen wants anywhere.

I really enjoyed making this recipe. It was nice to make something that was so easy and quick to prepare. The part of the recipe that I found unusual during the cooking process was microwaving potatoes. Personally, I have always used an AirFryer or regular fryer when it comes to cooking fries because I love the crisp texture and soft fluffy inside. The timing of 4 -6 minutes for potato slices scared me because I thought it would not be enough time to have those fries cooked enough and I had to put it in a little bit longer until they were at my desired liking. I love how this simple 3 ingredient recipe is also up to the imagination with the spices as well. One can add paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, anything they are up for! Granted it is not the healthiest food option to make but if one is ever having a midnight snack craving and wants something short and sweet they have it right there!
