KS Spicy Pizza

Give our quick and easy pizza a try!

Give your taste buds a flavorful, fiery sensation with KS Spicy Pizza. A tomato basil base, three cheese blend, olives, onions, and fresh spinach, all topped off with habanero peppers.


KS Spicy Pizza


Prep & cook time (20 mins)

Yield: 8 Servings

Serving Size: 1 Slice


Ingredients:

Baby Spinach (3oz)

Pitted black olives (3oz)

Red onion (half)

Habanero Pepper (¼ of 1)

12 inch Pizza crust (2)

Tomato basil pasta sauce (4oz)

Mexican cheese


Prep:

Slice 3 oz of pitted black olives and place into a bowl

Dice half of an onion and place into a bowl

Finely chop ¼ of habanero pepper and place into a bowl

Ingredients are intended to be halved to make 2 pizzas


Instructions


  1. Set oven to 350 deg

  2. Place 2 pizza crusts on a lightly sprayed baking sheet.

  3. Apply 2 oz of tomato basil sauce to the pizza crust and spread it evenly

  4. Add 3 oz of cheese to the pizza crust.

  5. Add 1.5 oz baby spinach

  6. Add 1.5 oz of pitted black olives

  7. Add half of the chopped onions

  8. Sprinkle half of the Habanero pepper

  9. Top off with 1oz of cheese

  10. Repeat steps 3-9 for the second pizza crust

  11. Bake for 15 minutes

  12. Slice each pizza into four pieces.


Nutritional characteristics


  • Cheese - cheese is high in protein and calcium. Calcium supports strong bones and teeth while protein is an essential micronutrient that helps produce enzymes and hormones.

  • Olives - Olives are rich in antioxidants which may help reduce inflammation

  • Spinach - rich in vitamins A, C, K, and folate, may help digestion and lower the risk of certain diseases
